WW1 Princess Mary Tin - Given to every Soldier serving King and Country, Christmas 1914.
Originally the Brass Tin contained a Card, some Cigarettes, some Tobacco and a Pencil - The contents have long since gone.
I hope the "Tommy" enjoyed his Cigarettes.
The Tin is above average condition, there are no repairs and the hinge is perfect.
On the lid are the names of several counteries : BELGIUM, FRANCE, SERVIA, JAPAN, RUSSIA, MONTENEGRO.

Queen Alexandra's Christmas Gift Book - Photographs from My Camera' published in 1908 by the Daily Telegraph was sold to raise money for the Queen's charities. This hardback book is profusely illustrated with her own photographs and shows the people, places and events she and her husband King Edward VII saw on their travels. The pictures show both formal and informal occasions at such places as Balmoral, Sandringham, Cardiff, Cowes, Portsmouth, Gibraltar, Malta, Corfu, Greece, Norway and in Africa. Some unusual maritime pictures are included such as the early submarine A9, Shackleton's ship Nimrod setting off to the South Pole in 1907 and the raising of the Cruiser HMS Gladiator in 1908 after its collision in a snow storm with the mail liner St Paul.
